A Day of Q and A

YOUNG WOMEN'S HEALTH CONFERENCE



The YWHC provides young women the opportunity to further their awareness and understanding of the critical health and safety issues they face. The conference offers answers and information that encourage healthy and responsible decision-making.

The conference, themed “A Day of Q & A,” provides answers and information to encourage healthy and responsible decision-making, and consists of a diverse line-up of presentations, speakers, and lunchtime activities.

Teen Workshop topics include:

  • Body image and eating disorders
  • Self-esteem
  • Dating violence and healthy relationships
  • Internet and social media safety
  • Prevention of sexually transmitted infections, including HIV
  • Teenage pregnancy prevention

Adult Workshop topics include:

  • Parent-Child Communication
  • Bullying
  • Back to Schools Project

The YWHC is supervised by professional health educators, San Bernardino County Sexual Assault Services, and Claremont Graduate University Master’s of Public Health and PhD students.

The conference is presented by Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties and the Santos Manuel Student Union Women’s Resource Center of California State University, San Bernardino. YWHC is held annually in mid-October at CSUSB and is free for teens who register to attend.
